PICS provides a variety of comprehensive programs and services to assist new and recent immigrants with their translation. Umoja Operation Compassion Society was formed in 2002 by African immigrants. The non-profit organization helps African and other immigrant and refugee families successfully integrate into the Canadian culture while embracing their cultural roots. Umoja offers a Literacy and Life Skills Program, three unique Parenting Programs, An Outreach Program, Sewing Program, Children and Middle Years Program, Youth Drop-in and Surrey Champions Soccer Project.
