Friendships and relationships are key to anyone feeling welcomed and included - in any situation.  Relationships are built from a place of trust, human curiosity, generosity of spirit, and celebration of diversity.  Both the newcomer and individuals in the receiving community play an equal role in building relationships and friendships.
